Support wires

Support wires

The support threads are filaments placed under the skin and have the function of pulling the tissues, obtaining the so-called “lifting effect”, making the skin less flaccid and with rejuvenating effects.

In addition to the lifting effect, as described above, it has a biostimulating effect. Being absorbable, at the site of its insertion, it ends up stimulating collagen production. Even after the thread is absorbed, the biostimulating effects are not lost, therefore having a long-term lasting effect.

There are different types of wires, with different characteristics and equally different duration time. The threads used by us are all absorbable, however they can have functions to improve the facial contour, biostimulation or both. There is no such thing as the best material, but the most suitable for each particular situation.

The placement of the wires is always performed with previous local anesthesia, being, therefore, a painless procedure. Postoperative care is very simple and there is rarely a need for supportive medication.

Depending on the type of thread used and the treatment in question, they can last from 6 to 24 months, depending on the indication, quantity of threads and goals to be achieved.
