Facial expression lines
As we age, the fat that is supporting our skin separates, similar to Pangea. Mimicry creates facial expression lines and the consequent static and dynamic expression lines.
The most common and the biggest complaints of patients are the so-called “puppet lines”, the “Chinese mustache” and dark circles. The puppet lines are the marks that appear from the corner of the mouth, often causing the inversion of the smile and the consequent “sad look”. The Chinese mustache is the lines that appear next to the nose, up to the corner of the mouth. Finally, dark circles are marks below the eyes, most of the time, and that give that tired look that so many people complain about. These signs occur due to lack of support of the face tissues.
Treatment is almost always combined, between structuring and filling the face, with combinations of biostimulators and filling materials such as hyaluronic acid. It can also be associated with botulinum toxin, in some situations, everything will depend on the degree of severity and the expected results. A clinical and photographic evaluation consultation with the Orofacial Harmonization professional, together with the patient, will be the basis for delineating the most appropriate treatment.
All procedures invariably undergo prior local anesthesia, according to the duration and proposed treatment, so it will always be comfortable.
Aging is inevitable, as is gravity, which end up causing the so-called “facial melting”. Fortunately, we currently have suitable, reversible and non-invasive treatments available that allow us to make our face always youthful and beautiful.
