Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening is a medical procedure that makes whiter teeth without damaging them. The whitening agent binds to existing pigments in tooth enamel, due to its hygroscopic action, making the tooth lighter. The whitening gel comes in contact with the surface of the tooth, penetrates the enamel and dentin, through the release of molecules and oxidation of the pigments will cause discoloration, that is, whitening. On the other hand, tooth whitening is composed of substances that prevent dehydration and increase color stability due to elements such as fluor and potassium nitrate that strengthen tooth enamel, reduce sensitivity and protect against cavities.
