Dental implants
A dental implant is a kind of “artificial root”, which can be made of biocompatible materials such as titanium or zirconia, and which is installed through a very simple surgery. It has a waiting period for our body to form bone around the implant, between 3 and 5 months, depending on the region and bone density of the site.
We usually say that there are no ideal treatments, there is the most suitable treatment for each patient. In our clinic we always select the best techniques, those that will be the most suitable for each patient, specifically. We have a very large variety of implants, which will be used to offer the best to our patients.
As a rule, surgery to place a dental implant is simple, and does not create a great limitation for patients in the postoperative period. As with everything done in our clinic, we have a pre- and post-operative medication protocol that makes this procedure very comfortable.
The placement of a dental implant follows two phases, the first surgical phase, for placing the implant and waiting for the formation of bone around it (osseointegration), and a second phase, for making the dental prosthesis (tooth), which is customized. , that is, made to measure.
As it is an extremely safe and predictable procedure, episodes of allergic conditions are very rare, however, as a minor surgery, it has the same care as the others performed in our clinic, making it a very peaceful experience.
