Plasma Rich in Growth Factors (PRGF)
Plasma rich in growth factors, or simply PRGF, is a substance produced by our platelets, the blood cells responsible for clotting. It has a multitude of indications and uses, including the improvement of bone and gingival healing in oral and implant surgeries, through biostimulation and rejuvenation of the face, by stimulating the production of collagen by our body.
Regardless of its use, as described above, the procedure is very simple: As soon as the patient arrives at the clinic, an amount of blood is removed, a procedure similar to blood tests. While the patient waits for a while, the blood is placed in a machine that separates it into fractions, to collect the growth factor in a specific portion of the tube. Immediately after preparation, it is ready to be used. It is therefore a 100% autologous product.
As a product exclusively extracted from the patient’s own blood, there is no contraindication to its use or the number of times it is performed. The results are very good.
