Biostimulators

Biostimulators are substances capable of stimulating the production of collagen by our body, the only way to replace it. No other form of collagen absorption is effective, so biostimulators have revolutionized Orofacial Harmonization.

In practical terms, biostimulators eliminate sagging skin on the entire face and around the mouth, giving greater firmness and better results to filling with hyaluronic acid, when associated with it. It also gives greater luminosity and rejuvenates the skin.

We have some really effective solutions, ranging from Poly-L-Lactic acid, polydioxanone threads, platelet-derived growth factors (PDGF) and calcium hydroxyapatite. All with specific indications, for each particular situation.

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that has excellent volumizing (filling) and hydration characteristics, however it does not have collagen production stimulating properties. There are no consistent contraindications in the literature, they rarely cause allergic reactions, however the pre-treatment clinical evaluation always seeks to rule out any tendency to allergy by the patient.
